Summary:

This technical and leadership position works directly with the Project Manager to coordinate the design, fabrication, and delivery of custom particle accelerator and neutron generator products.   This role includes developing and maintaining the development plan, schedule, budget, and resources required for on-time project delivery.  This position will coordinate the various activities required for research, product development, supply chain, and production.

 

Reports to:   President

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to:
    • Create product development plans and schedules
    • Coordinate efforts of design and build teams
  • Drives design reviews
  • Ensures project documentation is maintained in accordance with internal processes and pertinent regulatory requirements
  • Ensures completion of assigned deliverables and adherence to timelines
  • Tracks assigned milestones and timelines across projects
  • Updates project schedule when necessary
  • Identifies and removes obstacles to project execution

Coordinate cross-discipline engineering teams towards timely completion of project goals

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or comparable technical degree
    • Suitable work experience in a technically related field may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • 5+ years experience in a technical industry, with responsibility for meeting strict deadlines
  • Strong project management skills demonstrated in a technical field
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good computer skills with standard office software programs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in business processes such as product development, product release and quality control.
  • Solid understanding of the use of engineering tools such as CAD, version control, and defect tracking systems
  • Experience in assessing and delivering to customer requirements
